Unfortunately as of February 1,2008 the rescue will no longer be accepting any surrenders sadly this is due to lack of funding. Out of pocket expenses are in the thousands. I am hoping a response to my application for federal exemption is approved and then I'm able to apply for grants and large donations. The rescue is run by myself and several volunteers so unfortunately I do not have hours that I am (open) at this time. I am available most Mondays and Thursdays for appointments. All other days I work but can make arrangements for people to stop by the rescue before or after my work schedule. Our Featured Pet...
Our Featured Pet is a 10 1/2 Ft. Burmese Python named Niobe' ! We received her about two years ago with 1/2 of her body covered in burns due to improper housing but with some love ( and alot of antibiotics ) she ended up being the most docile and loving snake I have ever come across ! You can see a picture of her above . You can come meet and pet her at the rescue along with some of our other permanent residents for only $1.00 per child $2.00 per adult ( donation )just call ahead please .

We do Birthday Party's !!! ( $75/hr. ) ALL proceeds benefit our rescued animals ! We also do educational demonstrations in schools. We will even babysit your exotic pet while you go on vacation ( $25/wk. ) ! If you are interested and have any questions feel free to e-mail us or call to set up an appointment. We also offer picture postcards of you and your favorite pet at our rescue for a $5.00 donation ( Niobe' & Snugglepuss are very photogenic :~) ! ) Snugglepuss is a very healthy and happy 4 foot long Argentinian Tegu lizard ( see happy tales - click on snuggle's ) . Who We Are
Bella's Reptile Rescue ( located in Springfield Ma. ) takes in any unwanted reptile ! We are a non-profit rescue whose goal is to adopt out our rescued animals to new loving homes . We rescue , rehabilitate ( if necessary ) and find new homes for abandoned , injured , and abused reptiles , amphibians , invertebrates & birds .So far we have rescued and found homes for over 100 animals this year !
Iguana NOTICE ( PLEASE READ )
If you are looking for a pet iguana please call or e-mail us with your name and telephone # or e-mail address and tell us what size iguana you are looking for because these animals are very hard to place in good new homes ! We will then notify you when one comes in so you can come see if he/she will make a good addition to your family ! So if you want an iguana please let us know before you buy one from a pet store , Many are bought as baby's only to end up here , other rescues ,or destroyed because they get so large and require so much time/care . But with a little daily time and effort these animals can be fun and rewarding to own as pets ! Adopting a friend
Adopting a reptile from our rescue is an easy and rewarding experience , For people of all ages ! We guarantee that if for any reason you decide you cannot keep your new pet we will ALWAYS take the animal back ( Adoption fee's are non-refundable ) ! All you have to do is sign our adoption contract and Love your new pet ( we do not ship pets ). You can always call or e-mail us anytime with questions regarding your new pet .
Come Visit Us!
We Welcome people into our rescue to come see all of our animals for a small $1.00 Donation per child $2.00 Donation per adult ! You can also come to see the pets we have up for adoption in person .Call in advance to make an appointment !
